NCCU: the Choice

NCCU currently comprises 9 colleges excelling in the Liberal Arts, Law, Commerce, Science, Foreign Languages, Social Sciences, Communication, International Affairs, and Education. International Master's Program in International   Communication Studies (IMICS)  

     By pioneering in English-taught Master programs in the field of Communications in Taiwan, IMICS offers an extensive range of courses designed to assist the inquiring mind in the exploration of knowledge.

     IMICS focuses on cross-cultural communication studies with an additional emphasis on the Asia-Pacific area. The reputable faculty members come from the historical Journalism Department, Advertisement Department, and Radio & Television Department of NCCU. It teaches the skills most in demand today for students who are interested in pursuing a career in communication industry.



International Master of Business Administration Program (IMBA)

     The Program utilizes case studies, problem-based learning, and group projects to optimize students' learning experience. The majority of IMBA courses are conducted in the Academia Excellentiae, a learning environment inspired by Harvard Case Study classrooms.



International Master's Program in International Studies (IMPIS)

     International Master's Program in International Studies (IMPIS) at NCCU was established in August 2012. It is aimed at bringing a broad politico-economic-social focus to the understanding and study of contemporary international relations in a more practical way.

International Development and International Conflict Management are two sub-fields (tracks) provided by IMPIS.



International Master's Program in Asia-Pacific Studies (IMAS)

     The International Master's Program in Asia-Pacific Studies (IMAS) at National Chengchi University (NCCU) is the first of its kind in Taiwan. It is fully taught in English and offers an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the important aspects of the Asia-Pacific region.

     IMAS is supported by the best faculty members of the College of Social Sciences (CSS), whose specializations cover anthropology and ethnology, economics and public finance, developmental studies, international relations and security, labor relations, political science, public administration, policy analysis, sociology, and social welfare.



International Doctoral Program in Asia-Pacific Studies (IDAS)

     The International Doctoral Program in Asia-Pacific Studies (IDAS) at National Chengchi University (Taipei, Taiwan), is a comprehensive Ph.D. program that is fully taught in English at one of Asia's top social sciences universities. The program brings an interdisciplinary understanding of the Asia-Pacific region.

     The IDAS program offers 4 tracks –political economy, socio-cultural research, public governance, and international relations.

     We also offer a broad range of methods courses that prepare students for research and publishing in international journals. IDAS is part of NCCU's College of Social Sciences and draws on English-speaking faculty throughout the campus. IDAS also offers the opportunity for students to study abroad, and those who come to NCCU can also take advantage of our excellent language center for learning Mandarin.



International Master's Program in Applied Economics and Social Development (IMES)

     IMES is the first English taught program in studies of applied economics in Taiwan. IMES provides rigorous economic reasoning and solid statistical methods so that students can learn to analyze public policy and social development using the economic approach.

     The majority of IMES courses focus on tools of economic analysis as well as the discussions of public policies and social development in Taiwan. Also, IMES offers 3 disciplinary tracks: Social Security and Welfare, Economic Analysis and Policy Evaluation, and Environment and Resources.



Doctoral Program in Social Network and Human Centered Computing (SNHCC)

     The TIGP on Social Networks and Human-Centered Computing (SNHCC) is a new program established jointly by National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), National Chengchi University (NCCU), and Academia Sinica.

     The curriculum contents including natural language processing and information retrieval, data mining, multimedia, human-centered computing and human-computer interaction and sociology, communication and psychology in the field of society and behavioral sciences.

     The admission to the program is limited to 20 students per year. Students can choose to enroll in NTHU or NCCU.
